Obituary of Calogero Scichilone
Calogero (Jerry) Scichilone of Rothesay, NB, passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital after his battle with cancer on Friday, August 28, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Aragona, Sicily on May 29, 1951. He was the son of the late Giuseppe Scichilone and Anna Maria (Graceffa) Scichilone.
Jerry worked as a barber for many years in his family owned and operated business. He loved his family, loved life, loved soccer, loved helping others and enjoyed his clients.
He will be sadly missed by his loved ones, his loving wife of 37 years Pasqualina (Salamone), her family from Europe. His children; Anna Maria (fiancé Andrew), Giuseppe (wife Melissa), Maria Alfonzina; his brothers and sisters, Serafina Mattina and family, Dominic Scichilone and family, Maria Salamone and family, Rosario Scichilone and family, Salvatore Scichilone and family, Filippo Scichilone and family, cousin Giovanna Graceffa and family. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his loving sister Giovanna Scichilone.
We would like to thank all of you for all the support we received during this difficult time. Special thanks goes out to all the palliative care team.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (849-2119) with visiting on Tuesday, September 1, 2015 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at St. Mark's Church at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the memorial of the donor's choice.
