Diane, I'm so very saddened and shocked to learn of Richard's passing. Richard was a great guy and was always so good to me during my time with Nortel and Innovatia as were you. He and I enjoyed many a good laugh over those five years and both seemed to share a slightly 'left of center' sense of humour and the love of telling and hearing a good story, as well as having some very similar tastes in music. He was wise beyond his years, kind and caring to his coworkers, especially those whom were directly under his supervision, extremely intelligent and thoughtful and it was so very obvious to all of us that he loved and worshipped you, Katelyn and Brandon and took extreme pride in his family. Please accept my most heartfelt deepest sympathy and condolences at your loss. I will say a prayer and light a candle for him tonight. I know you will all find solace in the great many wonderful memories you have of him. You are all in my thoughts and prayers at this most difficult and sad time. God bless you and your families.

Richard was a rich and gifted individual. Rich because of his love for his wife, children and life itself. Gifted due to his intelligence, wit and love for life, friends and colleagues. I had the pleasure and honer to work with Richard during my tender with Nortel. When I met him he was an established and respected representative of Nortel Networks in Mississauga. His vast knowledge of the company, products and procedures established him as a go-to person for may representatives that came after him. He was a kind and mild mannered man who would give his shirt to help a person in need. I respected Richard and envied him at times for his ability to get the job done. Richard was true to his word, his family and his morals. Although we drifted apart since our stint at Nortel, I have always thought of Richard with the utmost respect. He will be missed by his family and by every single individual that he touched in his life, which would be in the thousands. He may be departed from us physically, but he will always remain in the hearts of many. A legacy that a lot of us could only wish for. Thank you Richard for the allowing me to know you, work along side of you and call you my friend. Mark Smith

Diane, First and foremost, my deepest sympathies and condolences to you, the children and the families on Richard's passing. As many, I cannot believe that Richard has left this earth at such a young age; I am very much in shock, disbelief, and saddened by his departure. As you know, I had known Richard since 1993 and had worked with him, for him, and for the same companies for a very long time. Richard was a standup, very intelligent and funny guy; I will never forget that about him. One of the things that he use to love doing was talk about NFL Football and his beloved Miami Dolphins; it was always a treat engaging him to talk football pre and post game. From a professional perspective, Richard was a goldmine of information and was always there when I needed something. Richard made work fun; the work-related stories, laughs, and his ability to work through challenges, and contribute towards business unit successes I will always remember. Richard has physically left this earth but he will forever be remembered as a kind, giving, and gentle person that always made people smile and made their day a better one. To Richard, have a safe journey my friend; thanks for all that you were; you will forever be missed!!! Daniel Marier - Mirabel, Québec, Canada

Diane- I can't begin to express our sadness and shock upon hearing the news about Richard- our deepest condolences to you and the entire family. Needless to say you and Richard were a big part of our life when we all moved out to New Brunswick. We shared many laughs and a few tears. I always enjoyed my conversations with Richard and having him express his sometimes unique perspective on a variety of topics. He was knowledge beyond his years - he was very kind and generous. I loved the time spent going through his albums and finding that one particular song he wanted to indulge me with . You are in our thoughts and prayers, and hopefully you can find some peace knowing how much Richard was loved and respected as a co-worker but even more as a wonderful and dear friend....God Bless you and your families
