Obituary of Robert Eugene McDermott
After a prolonged illness the family of Robert "Bob" Eugene McDermott of Quispamsis, NB, announce his passing which occurred on September 27, 2015 at Bobby's Hospice. Bob was the husband of Barbara (Demmons) McDermott.
Born in Minto, NB on April2, 1937, he was a son of the late Harold and Adeletta (Brown) McDermott. After graduating from Minto Memorial High School, Bob was employed with the Irving Oil Refinery, NB Power, and with the Village of Gondola Point. He then began his own business, Sunnybank Woodcraft, making kitchen cabinets and furniture. He was an active member of St. Luke's Anglican Church, as well as the care taker of St. Luke's Anglican Cemetery.
Survived by his wife of 55 years, his sons; Mark (Susan) of Renforth, NB, and Craig (Anne-Marie Simpson) of Quispamsis, grandchildren; Sarah, Jordan, Kyle and Connor McDermott, Melissa and Gabriella Simpson, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Bob was predeceased by his brother, Don, and sister, Shirley Thompson. Bob will be remembered for his skilled hands and dry sense of humour.

Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Monday evening, September 28 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and Tuesday afternoon, September 29 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held at St. Luke's Anglican Church, Quispamsis Road, Quispamsis, NB, on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 10:00 AM . Interment to take place at St. Luke's Anglican Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to St. Luke's Anglican Church, Bobby's Hospice or to a charity of the donor's choice.
