Although we never met Dorothy her obituary highlights an active, energetic and meaningful life. She was obviously very involved in community life and giving of herself and her time to others. Any passing brings sadness but can also be a time to remember how blessed we are to have shared in a myriad of life experiences with the one who has now left us. By all accounts the treasure trove of wonderful experiences that you shared was full to overflowing. Nancy and I send you our heartfelt condolences.

Hi Nita. Your mom was one of the strong ones. Mom and Dad enjoyed being in their circle of friends and relatives, way back in the 1960s and 70s. They all lived a pretty good life. By the way, I still haven't started geocaching with grandkids, but you've inspired me and it's on my List. Hugs, Gretchen

Nita and family, I was very saddened to hear of Dorothy's passing. She was a very special lady. I enjoyed seeing her everyday! I remember going in to her room every night to offer her the drink she always enjoyed (gingerale) sometimes when she wasn't getting ready for bed she would invite me to have a seat and stay a while. I loved that! I remember her mentioning her family often and she was quite proud of you all. Dorothy was a very sweet lady and will be dearly missed.we all loved her so much :) , and she will forever hold a special place in our hearts. I hope you can find a bit of time to come back to visit us again whenever you feel up to it. ... my best wishes are with you and your family at this tough time -Noah Donovan (KWCC Volunteer)

My deepest condolences Nita and Claire on the passing of your Mother and Grandmother. I was not fortunate enough to know her, but I am sure whe was a really remarkable lady. I had planned to be at her funeral, and sing with the other Choristers, but unfortunately it was not to be. Losing a mother, no matter her age or yours, is not easy and my heart goes out to you. God Bless you and all your family.
