Obituary of Frederick Stewart Saunders
With sadness, the family announces the passing of Norm Saunders of Quispamsis, NB, husband of Mary (Lamoureaux) Saunders on January 7, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Quispamsis, son of the late William and Grace (Hawkins) Saunders.
Norm was the Supervisor of Maintenance for School Boards 18 and 19 retiring in 1991 which allowed him to pursue his passion of gardening full time. He loved his family and enjoyed cabinet making.
Surviving besides his wife Mary are two sons, John Paul Saunders and Timothy Saunders (Nicola Triggs) of Quispamsis, three grandchildren, Alisyn Saunders, Noah Saunders and Joshua Triggs, two sisters Iris Bettle of Quispamsis, Phyllis Bettle of Quispamsis, many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one sister, Doreen Hildebrand and two brothers, Howard and Myles Saunders.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Sunday, January 10, 2016 from 1-4 PM. The funeral will be held on Monday, January 11, 2016, at St. Augustines Church, Quispamsis at 11:00 AM. Donations in Norm's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Extra-Mural Program, or to a charity of the donor's choice. Online condolences may be made at www.kennebecsisfh.com
