Obituary of Carol Jean Newton
Carol Newton, joined her loving husband in Heaven on January 26, 2016, from Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Toledo, Ohio on June 12, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn and Russell Steinman.
She was a beautiful woman who enjoyed life, loved going on cruises, vacationing in Florida and PEI, reading and spending time with her family. She looked forward to meeting her friends at McAllister Place where she could sit and talk for hours. Carol was a loving mother to, Russell (Donna) of Fredericton, Cheryl McKay (Norman) of Rothesay, Michael (Andria) of Kingston, ON and Darrell (Karen) of Prescott, ON; special grandma to, Jay, Jeannie, Emily, Sarah, Hannah, Hillary, Jennifer, Michael , Jessica and Joshua; wonderful great-grandma to, Gracie, Melody, Shawna, Nixon, Hunter and Dane. Carol was predeceased by her husband, Norman Newton.
The Family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff and volunteers at Bobby’s Hospice, for taking such amazing care of Carol during her final weeks. “Thank you for dedicating your life to helping others.”
As per the family’s request, no visitation will be held. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 31 Gondola Point Road, Rothesay, on Friday, January 29, 2016, at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place at a later date at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery. A reception will immediately follow the Mass. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bobby’s Hospice.
