Obituary of Doris LeBlanc

The death of Mary Doris LeBlanc, of Rothesay, wife of the late Dennis LeBlanc, occurred on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.

 

Born on April 18, 1932, in Saint-Anne-de-Kent, NB, she was a daughter of the late Alderic and Margaret (Babineau) Maillet. Doris received "Mother of the Year" Award from Grey Power Magazine in October 2005.  Many family and friends came to Doris, where she took wonderful care of them in their time of need in their final days.

 

Doris is survived by her children; Charles (Yvonne) of Rothesay, Paul (Deborah) of Smithtown,  and Victor (Lorraine) of Rothesay, sister Jeanette Hall of Saint John, grandchildren; Adam, Marcia, Dennis, and Lawrence,  great grandchildren; Katelyn, Cohen, and Jeffrey, sisters-in-law; Fernande Maillet, and Joy Sherwood,  brother-in-law Allan Dow, as well as several nieces and nephews.

 

Besides her husband, Doris was predeceased by her sons; Patrick and David, sisters; Geraldine Hogan (Albert), Noella Cook (Jackie), Pauline LeBlanc (Yvon) and Marie Dow, brother Leo Maillet.

 

Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (849-2119) with visiting on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM . Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Rothesay, on Monday, May 27, 2019  at 11 AM. Interment to take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Canadian Mental Health or to a charity of the donor's choice.
