Fred Wallace posted a condolence
Doug and I were best friends during our childhood years and through High School. I spent many many hours arguing with him in the sun porch of their home in Burtts Corner while he rocked away. He could always be found rocking. I, at that time, had a crush on Carolyn who wouldn't give me the time of the day but as I look back I am so glad she didn't want me and I shared many great times with Doug when we would bike all over the Burtts Corner area. Although I was scared to death of his father, I always seemed to be there when he arrived home on Friday (this was when he was working away). We played many many games of Monopoly. I remember one particular time, when we were playing and it was around Christmas, Doug and I hid the Chicken Bones from Carolyn and she went crying to her mother that Fred and Doug ate all of the "shicken" bones. She was awfully upset but Florence, bless her heart, just laughed it off. Another fond memory I have of Doug is when we were on our honeymoon, we visited him at the TV station in Moncton. I had hoped to visit him the last time I was to the Doctor in St. John but Debbie told me that I had better call first to make sure he was up to visitors so considering that, I decided not to for fear that it would tire him out. In closing, I have to say that I have many fond memories of Doug and I have added him to our Memory List of the Keswick Valley Memorial High School. This list is on display at the School which is a middle school now. My sincere condolences to all of the Crouse family. Doug was a great guy and I am sure he will be missed by many

I'm very saddened to hear of Doug's passing; I was not even aware he was ill. Doug and I both worked at NBTel for many years and we shared some pretty good but challenging times when we were both involved with Sales. Things will be tough for you without Doug but they will get better in time. Take care and may God walk with you.
