Obituary of Barbara Ann Myles
It is with great sadness that the family of Barbara Ann (Magee) Myles announce her passing at Bobby's Hospice on August 26, 2017.
Born in Saint John, N.B. September 6th, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Ronald G and Bertha M (Cormier) Magee.
Barbara was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion BR 58. She was active in the Ladies Auxiliary, the ladies darts league, Thursday night cribbage and participated in many other Legion activities. Barbara enjoyed bowling, bingo, cribbage and Saturday night poker with family and friends. She was also active in numerous activities that were held at the Peat Drive Seniors complex where she lived for over 20 years.
Barbara is survived by her sons Wayne (Joan) Myles of St. John’s, NL and Hutson (Diana) Myles of Halifax, NS daughters, Carol Myles, Bette (Stan) Theriault of Saint John, and Barbara (Jeff) Baldwin of Kingston Peninsula, NB. She is also survived by, her uncle Alfred Cormier, Saint John and aunt Yvonne McAuley, Quispamsis, as well as 13 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her parents, Barbara is predeceased by her son Archie Myles, grandson Baby David Owen, son-in-law William (Bill) Theriault, brothers Ronald, Douglas, Robert (Boogie, Bobby) and Merville Magee.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 5:30-8:30 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, Friday, Sept. 1st at 10:00am.
Remembrances may be made to the NB Association for Community Living or the charity of donors choice.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr Graham MacNeil for his many years as her family doctor.
