Obituary of Albert Allan Bradshaw
It is with loving hearts and profound sadness that we announce the death of a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather; wonderful brother, uncle and friend. Albert Allan Bradshaw formally of Grand Falls, Newfoundland, born on May 15, 1939 died peacefully surrounded by his family at the age of 78, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, New Brunswick on September 18, 2017. He is predeceased by his parents Albert and Thelma.
He is survived by his wife Bess of 55 years, his daughters Susan Nichol (Desmond) and Sandra Goguen (Dominic), his grandchildren, Alison, Kimberly, Brandon and Sabrina, his siblings, Roger (Linda), Margaret (Robert), Joyce (Bill), Terry (Jaci), Ruth, Jean, and Gary and lifetime friend Bob Hillier. He will be missed by his numerous nieces and nephews, not to mention his coffee and golfing buddies.
He ventured to Labrador City, Newfoundland where he worked at IOCC and created lasting friendships. During his years he was Superintendent of the Labrador City Integrated School Board, was Past Worshipful Master for the Northern Lights Masonic Lodge. He also volunteered for several organizations throughout the community of Labrador City. For the past 34 years he lived in Quispamsis, New Brunswick and worked for the Irving Ship Building Company until retirement. He was past President of the K.V. Food Bank for many years. Al loved reading, golfing, bowling, napping and enjoyed traveling. He will be fondly remembered by numerous family and friends across the country.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) where visitation will be held Saturday, September 23 from 2 to 4 PM. For those wishing, donations can be made in his memory to the Children’s Wish Foundation or of donor’s choice. "A peaceful man is at peace."
