Obituary of Donald Michael Fillmore
The death of Donald "Bun" Michael Fillmore of Rothesay, NB, husband of the late Patricia (Thibodeau) Fillmore, occurred on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born in Saint John, NB, on September 29, 1944, he was a son of the late Walter and Helen (McGrath) Fillmore. Bun was a school bus driver for District 6 from 1988 until his retirement in 2007. He enjoyed going to the gym, a fan of the Red Sox and the Maple Leafs. He loved spending time with his family.
Survived by his sons; Jason Fillmore (Michelle) of Saint John, Christopher Fillmore (Kelsey) of Saint John, and Mark Fillmore of Rothesay, daughter Debra Fillmore of Saint John, brothers; Walter Fillmore (Betty) of Saint John, Jake Fillmore (June) of Moncton, Frank Fillmore (Jeannie) and Mac Fillmore, both of Ontario, sisters; Barbara Davis, Sr. Mary Peter, and Ruth Crowley (John), all of Ontario, grandchildren; Alyssa Harley, Alex, Ethan, Quentin, and Owen Fillmore, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife and parents, Bun was predeceased by his brother Bob Fillmore.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mark's Catholic Church, on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at 10AM. Interment to take place at St. Joseph's Cemetery. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Diabetes Canada or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
