Obituary of Marina Elizabeth Speight
With heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Marina Elizabeth Speight, of Quispamsis, NB, which occurred on Monday, October 16, 2017 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Born on September 27, 1935, in St. John's NL. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Speight. She was the daughter of the late James and Elsie (Dyke) Shute. Marina was employed as a custodian with KVHS for several years until her retirement. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed Square Dancing.
Marina is survived by her children; Marina Ougler (Henry) of Quispamsis, Cindy Neal (Charles) of Rothesay, Robert Speight of BC, and Donna Higgins (Ken) of Quispamsis, grandchildren; Bill (Amanda), Kim (Angus), Sarah (Andrew), Jon, Jacquelyn, and Julia, great grandchildren; Eva, Liam, Thomas, Samuel, Jacob and Lucas, sisters; Vi, Joan, and Gerry, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, Marina was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Friday, October 20, 2017 from 10:30 to 12:30 PM, Funeral Service will follow at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel on 12:30 PM. Interment to take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of New Brunswick or to the charity of the donor's choice.
