Obituary of Harry Burns O'Neill
With heavy hearts the family of Harry O’Neill announce his passing, which occurred on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017 peacefully at home. Born in Quebec City on Feb. 26, 1944, he was the son of the late John and Mary (Burns) O’Neill.
Harry will be missed by his wife Alice (Pryor) O'Neill and his children: Alice Ann O’Neill, Irene O’Neill (Marc Larouche), Tim O’Neill, Liz Tait (Aaron Tait); 3 grandchildren: Morgan, AJ and Sydney Tait; his siblings George O’Neill (Paulette); Gordon O’Neill (Sharon); as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents, Harry was predeceased by his brother Jack O’Neill (Helen).
Harry was a well liked, friendly, kind, loyal, community-minded and a proud Quispamsis resident. He loved being a father and had fun as Papa Harry to his 3 grandchildren. He loved all his friends from his work at the Port of Saint John, the running community, New Brunswick Sports Car Club, St. Mark’s and St. Alphonsus Church, as well as, the refugee settlement group and the volleyball club. He loved travelling with his wife Alice in his RV all over North America. Harry lived life with no regrets and loved every aspect and minute of it.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Monday, October 23, 2017 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.
