Obituary of Donald Richard Walls
It is with sadness that the family announce the passing of Donald Richard "Rick" Walls on December 24, 2017 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, following a short and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 66, husband of Doreen Walls. Rick was the son of the late Donald and Anna Walls.
Rick is survived by his son Jeffrey Walls (Loreen) of Brandon, MB, and step-children; Kevin Clark of Calgary, AB, Michael Clark of Kingston, NB, Geoffrey Clark (Kimberly) of Quispamsis. Grandchildren; Carter and Cheyanne Walls of Brandon, Corey Clark of Calgary, Jessica Clark of Calgary, and Katie-Lynn Clark of Quispamsis. Beloved sisters; Connie Ross (Gary) of Fredericton, Donna Stewart (Vernon) of Kingston, NB, Pamela Brophy of Guelph, ON, and Anna-Mae Shee (Michael) of Douglas, NB, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Rick served with the Canadian Armed Forces for ten years, then was employed with Point Lepreau for thirty years before retiring. He was a long standing active member of the Kennebecasis Lions Club. Rick was involved with the TNT Campground for over thirty years. He enjoyed spending time in Crosswinds, St. Petersburg, Florida, for the last nine years.
Rick always found great satisfaction in helping others.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff of the Oncology Department at the Saint John Regional Hospital for their support in his final days.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Thursday, December 28, from 6-8PM. A Celebration of Life will be held at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 11:00AM. Interment to take place in Blackville, NB at a later date. Remembrances may be made to the Kennebecasis Lions Club Scholarship Fund, would be appreciated.
