Obituary of Gordon Bruce Brigden
It is with great sadness that the family of Gordon Bruce Brigden of Quispamsis announce his sudden passing, which occurred at his home on Sunday, January 20, 2019.
Born on May 4, 1947 in Saint John, he was a son of the late Charles J. Bridgen and Ethel (White) Brigden.
Gordon was a retired member of IBEW 502 Local, and the Rothesay Regional Police Department. He also ran and maintained his own electrical business for many years.
Gordon's pastimes included; hunting, fishing, going out on the four wheeler, and spending time at the camp. Gordon was a member of the Corinthian #13, he thoroughly enjoyed Freemasonry. Gordon will be remembered by all for his one of a kind sense of humor.
Gordon is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sheila (Bates) Brigden, and their two sons; David and Bruce (Kelda), his sister Sylvia Waseem (Rainer), brother Tim Brigden (Rina), grandchildren; Landen, Tye, and Abigail, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Gordon was predeceased by his brother Donald Brigden.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Funeral Service will be held at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home on Friday, January 25, 2019 at 12:00 PM. Interment to take place at Ocean View Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Camp Goodtime.
