Obituary of Edgar Joseph Doucet
It is with heavy hearts the family of Edgar Joseph Doucet, loving husband of Bertha Bertin) Doucet, announce his passing on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Shannex, Embassy Hall. Born on August 17, 1927 he was a son of the late Alphonse and Alice (Arseneau) Doucet.
Edgar worked his entire career as an auto painter. He also enjoyed music, woodworking, his family and his parish community.
In addition to his wife, Edgar is survived by his daughter Nancy Flemming (Hugh “Ted”), of Rothesay; sisters; Lena Lewis of Petit Roché, Stella Boucher (Bill) of Saint John and Lorette Herbert Doucet of Moncton, grandchildren; Jonathan Flemming (Jaime), Sarah Flemming, and Heather Kelly (Craig), and great-grandchildren; Hugh and Adam Flemming, and Nathan Kelly.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters; Yvonne Aubé and Emma Boulay, brother Norman Doucet.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119) with visiting on Sunday from 2- 5 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 31 Gondola Point Road, Rothesay, on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be held at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances in memory of Edgar may be made to Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, or to St. Mark's Catholic Church, would be appreciated.
