Obituary of Frances Adella Marr

It is with great sadness the family of Frances Adella (Ellis) Marr of Quispamsis, loving wife of the late Leonard Marr, announce her passing on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Kingsway Care Centre. Born on May 24, 1931 in Lepreau, NB, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Anne (Dean) Ellis.

Fran loved to be social and enjoyed her Wednesday bingo nights with her many friends and eventually hitting the road for frequent camping trips. She had no shortage of colorful stories to spin and was known for her jokes around the campfire. A bus trip with Fran was definitely a memorable event. She loved living on the banks of the Kennebecasis River, and it’s comforting to believe that she is there now with Dad, finally home where she wanted to be.   

Frances is survived by her children: Rodney (Janet) Marr of Quispamsis, Gary Marr of Minto and Barry (Geri-Lynn)  Marr of Halifax; sisters, Ethel (Murray) Bartlett and Eileen (Phillip) Gillis; grandchildren: Christine, Steven, Bryan, Ian and Diane; and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased  by her brothers, Norman Ellis and Frank Ellis.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road , Quispamsis (849-2119). There will be no visitation. The funeral service will be on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will take place at St. Luke's Anglican Cemetery . For those who wish, remembrances in memory of Frances may be made to Kingsway Care Centre or a charity of the donor's choice.
