I just found out Dr Fineberg is dead I became a patient when I needed a root canal which turned out to be impossible because of a hairline crack in the root. He was so kind. He eased my fear and I have a beautiful bridge and caps. He has been my dentist and almost a friend for 40 years. I am sad and shocked that this mountain was his last

I came to Ron's practice in 1978, so I would have been one of his earliest patients. It's been 40 years, and I still remember him so fondly. A wonderful medical expert, and a funny, loving guy.

Ron was a technological genius and always concerned about your comfort in the dentists chair. I usually fell asleep while he worked on my teeth.

Back in the seventies I was a big brother to several kids. One in particular needed quite a bit of dental work. Ron and I worked out a deal and it all got done. Last year, after nearly 40 years, this kid, Kevin looks me up and decides to bring his wife to visit me from Quebec.
When Kevin walked through the door he tapped his teeth with his finger and said I owe these to you and Dr. Fineberg.
Ron made him promise to take care of them and he did, and he said it was the best gift he ever had.

So sorry to hear about the loss of Dr. Fineberg,,,,,,,,,,,,
as one of his dental patients I remember him with laughter. The stories he told - it was difficult to "keep your mouth open" for him to work on teeth when one was laughing so much at his stories. I'll never forget the one about the "hornet" nest in his driveway!.
So Heaven will be shaking when they hear his stories.

This is a sad day. I met Ron at SLU. We both loved to water ski and snow ski, and as he would often say, "we both became better skiers as a result of skiing with each other". He was more than my best ski buddy, he was my best friend, and after graduation, understandably, he was my "best man" at my wedding. Later as life and distance made getting together more difficult, the times when we did meet were always memorable, we lived life "large." We took ski trips that included heli-skiing deep powder in the Canadian Rockies, and on 2 occasions, we coordinated our family ski trips to meet Ron, Marty and their father in the Alps, in Austria, at a place his father would describe as "Heaven on Earth." It was heaven, and if not, it was certainly living the good life together with our families. So why Ron had to suffer a series of medical issues to spoil what should have been his best years, I will never understand. Will I miss our adventures together? for sure. I have been missing him since he became ill and I will miss him for the rest of my life.

I have worked with Doc for such a short time, since July 2015. During this time, we quickly learned our niche as a team and the first 10 months went like clockwork! We had a great work relationship that gave us both laughs, banter back and forth but respect for each other. With the health issues doc endured starting thereafter, my roll changed. I became the Ambassador of the Practice, keeping it flowing and being a voice for the patients while he mended and gained strength. Doc managed to gain enough to come back for a bit more. He lived Dentistry. He fought to get back in his office, where he belonged. I will miss him for that. Rest easy now Doc. Have a good one!!! ❤️ Patti
