Obituary of Leverett Bradley
It is with heavy hearts the family of James Leverett Bradley of Browns Flat, loving husband of the late Iva (Wetmore) Bradley, announce his passing on Wednesday, October 9, 2019 at the Saint John Regional Hospital.
Born on May 17, 1930, in Grey's Mills, NB, Leverett was the son of the late James and Ida (Hayes) Bradley. He was employed with NBTel for 35 years, retiring from the Engineering Department. Leverett was a member of Gideon's International, and Browns Flat Fellowship. He was a former chairman of School District #19. He was past president of the Canadian Angus Association and former past president and board member of the Kingston Farmer's Market. Leverett and Iva spent many years travelling and volunteering for various mission organizations. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and was a jack of all trades.
Leverett will be deeply missed by his children: Stephen (Heather) Bradley, Ken (Linda) Bradley and Sue (Burton) White; grandchildren Heidi (Brad) LeRoy, Drew (Joy) Bradley, S.J. (Sarah) Bradley, Amos Bradley, Jacob (Sheena) Bradley; Megan White (Cody McGaffin) , Chapin (Brianne) White and Caleb White; fourteen great-grandchildren; sister Ruth Banks, close friend Milton Bagley, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife, Leverett was predeceased by his grandson Zachary and sister Lois Mitchell.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119), with visitation on Tuesday from 4- 8 PM. Funeral service will be held from Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 2:00 PM . Interment to take place at Grey's Mills Cemetery at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances in memory of Leverett may be made to World Hope Canada or to Zachary White Foundation for Tutoring.
