Obituary of Edna Pearl Hall
Edna Pearl Hall of Quispamsis passed away October 30, 2019 following a lengthy illness at Embassy Hall Shannex Quispamsis. Edna was born on November 16, 1925 to the late Leslie and Melissa (Price) Herrington and wife of the late Norman Hall.
Edna grew up in French Village, once married she resided in Quispamsis on the Pettingill Road. Before her marriage she worked for W H Thorne and Company but later moved on to raise her family. Edna loved her husband Norman dearly and always made family her first priority. She loved watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow.
Edna had a great love for her church and her church family. She was a long standing parishioner of St. Augustine’s Anglican Church, where she was a member of the ACW, taught Sunday school, served on vestry, was warden, and a dedicated member of the altar guild.
She is survived by her children; daughters Dale (Michael) Guitard of Quispamsis and Jeanne (Glen) Matheson of Debert, NS, son Glenn (Louise) Hall of Saint John, her grandchildren Kathleen Guitard (Jeremy), Daniel Guitard (Patty), and Alexander Matheson, her great-grandchildren Luke Guitard, Isaac and Martha Parlee, sisters Esther (Don) Crandal, Carol Gammer, Marilyn Ketchum, Vera Raeburn, brother Ian Herrington, sister-in-laws Bertha Herrington and Doris Herrington as well as many nieces and nephews.
Edna was predeceased by her husband Norman, sisters Lola, Luella, and brother’s Leon, Percy, Elmer, Lawrence and Walter.
The family wishes to thank Edna’s caregivers Jackie Ouellette, Betty Kilpatrick, and Hazel Ross for their wonderful care and acts of kindness. She loved each of them. We would also like to thank all staff of the Shannex Quispamsis for their tireless dedication to our mother.
Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, 506-849-2119 with visitation Monday, November 4th from 4 – 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at St Augustine’s Anglican Church, 239 Quispamsis Road, Quispamsis on Tuesday, November 5, 2019 at 11:00am with Rev. Michael O’Hara officiating. Reception to follow. Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or charity of donor’s choice. Online condolences may be placed at www.KennebecasisFH.com.
