My condolences to Sara Elizabeth and Cameron. Alan was respected as a fellow artist and craftsperson, husband and father when I knew him back at Opus. Where Alan acted as friend, professional potter, mentor, guide and fellow crafts person to me and to most he met. He will be missed in the artistic community. His spirit for life will live on in the hearts of many. My many memories of working with him will remain as one of the happiest times of my youth.
Sincerely...Ruby

Dear Elizabeth, John, Gregor and Ben,
Neil and I were sorry to hear of your father/father-in-law/grandfather’s passing. I remember his friendly nature when we visited the pottery shop - very similar to your pleasant manner, Elizabeth. We are presently in Florida and wanted to express our sympathy to you and all other members of your family.
Sincerely,
Anne Scott

The first time I met Allen was at the Rothesay Elementary School Sept 1955 he was a new kid I followed his life thereafter our lives didn't follow similar paths but we were similar never the less, as we both followed our harts desirers he the arts venue and as he progressed and we touched and caught up with one another he was always a cheerful, creative, explorer following his own path and his dreams. I will always miss Allen courage and creative mind, industry and love family and of life. I wish at this time to wish a most sinceer sympathy to all Allens family and friends.

We were saddened to read the death of Allan...a wonderful husband, father and grandfather...our heartfelt sympathy to Sarah, Elizabeth (John) and Cameron. We have fond memories of our trips to Shampers and the pottery shop. Allan was always so welcoming and gracious. He was so supportive of many fund raisers.
May the prayers from family and friends comfort and strengthen you as you mourn and grieve. God Bless, Donna, Eckart and Signy (Klein)

Sarah and family,
We are so sorry for your loss. We have many fond memories of visiting you and Alan at your pottery shop on the Peninsula. Alan's great smile, sense of humour and easy laugh were always a joy. Alan was always reading an interesting book and in recent years we traded books from time to time. One of my favourites that he introduced to me was "Champlain's Dream". I am grateful to him for doing that.
We will miss him.
Sincerely,
Peter and Heather
