I was extremely shocked to hear of Ann’s passing. I had the pleasure of knowing Ann at Dalhousie University where she studied Physiotherapy and I nursing. We lived on the same floor at Sherriff Hall. Anne was extremely friendly and always made me feel welcome. I was constantly amazed how organized and intelligent she was excelling as a student in her Physio program. My deepest condolences to all of Ann’s family.

Don, and family,
I had the pleasure of meeting Ann when I went to work at the Workers' Rehab Centre in 1981 as a new grad just out of physio school. I could not have asked for a better role model! She was always positive, hard working, passionate about her profession, and had great leadership abilities. After I moved to Sussex, our paths crossed again at physio dept. head meetings for the region, and at professional association events. Ann had not changed a bit, and still exhibited all of those qualities I had admired in her when we worked together! Even when I ran into you both on the sidewalk outside the SJRH one day last fall, and she revealed that she had been diagnosed with cancer, I thought to myself, "There is that positive Ann still showing through!"
Our thoughts and prayers are with you all as you go through this difficult time.

Dear Don and family, We were so very sorry to hear of Ann’s illness and passing. From our early days of marriage and work at CMHC Regional Office, I was so happy to have met both you and Ann. We had our children in the same years, (your first two!) and Ann was a wonderful support and friend in those days, which I so appreciated. Reading her obituary, it is easy to see how she continued to contribute to her profession and the full family life you enjoyed together. Surely, her example will be a wonderful model for your children and something you can take comfort in. Again, we are so sorry and send along our deepest sympathy and best wishes to you all at this sad time.
Sincerely, Karen and Terry Teed

So sorry to hear of Ann's passing. From sharing an apartment many years ago to working together at the regional hospital and extra mural, I was always so impressed how she put her mind to something and got it done so well.
I remember being in hospital following the birth of my son and seeing Ann, who had just had Patrick a couple of days before busily writing out her thank you notes! It took me weeks to write mine.
She will be missed by so many.
My sincere condolences to Don and Ann's family.

There aren't enough words to express how very sorry I am to hear of Ann's passing. I have so many wonderful memories of Ann. I first met her when I worked at the Regional as a student before I got into physiotherapy. Then I had the pleasure of working with her once I graduated and came back to SJ. She was such a force. She had so many things on the go and was raising her still young family at the time. I often saw her throughout the years once I moved on from the Regional when I was involved in NBCPA. She could always get things done. She was direct in delegating but her beautiful smile always made it less like work. In 2014 I was at the Marathon By the Sea watching our daughter run and there was Ann running on her birthday. I was so impressed but not surprised. 2 years ago we went dance show of a former physio we knew from Toronto. He had been a former physio student of hers. In the fall of 2018 we went to Britts one day for lunch and I chose to sit by Ann so I could catch up. She told me all about her adult kids and how proud she was of all of them and the mark they were making in the world.it brought me full circle to when I first met her. I will always remember Ann and you together Don at any function we went to together. She told me all about you guys being retired and all the traveling you did. You guys were like the dynamic duo. What a mark she has made in this world and will continue to make. She was an incredible woman who I greatly admired and looked up to both professionally and personally. You will all be in my heart and prayers

Don & family: So sorry but not surprised to hear this news. I didn't know this lovely person other than through some exchanges at W-Kitz and through reputation in the choral/music world. She was easy to remember however, thanks to her chipper personality and engaging smile. Our mortality becomes vividly apparent when we experience losses of friends or their mates. Enjoying each and every day's blessings is a bit of an overworked expression but so very fitting for each of us. Hopefully time will help with the healing Don, though such a loss will even challenge that time-tested healer. Our most heartfelt sympathies. Peter LeBlanc and Joanne

Don and family- I can't fathom the grief you are experiencing in the loss of your Ann- BUT I can see the impact she had on everyone with whom she interacted! Truly remarkable, to say it simply.
Of course I remember many professional events, moreso our work for the Canadian Physiotherapy Association CONGRESS 1987.here in SJ.
What I also remember, though, with most fondness, was a hike our 2 families did after unexpectedly meeting somewhere in Acadia National Park. I remember we hiked up to a bluff, but I can't find the pic- it was most enjoyable. The kids had a grand time.
I also remember, with a smile, back in the day when Ann and Virginia and I were doing some remote learning courses through Dal Physio. To set up a form of video conferencing at that time involved MANY many phone cords, plug-ins etc- and a certain toddler in your home LOVED trying to wind his way through those cords and around the monitors during our conference calls. It brought me a smile in remembering that, and I hope you also enjoy the story!
My deepest condolences- Barb

Hello Don and Family:
Exceptional - that is the Ann I knew. In all she did, she impressed with her focus, positive energy and leadership. It is an honour to be linked to your family through our in-laws as much as it is to have worked with Ann as a Physiotherapist. While her heart was primarily linked to the professional association, whenever I called upon her for regulatory work, she performed with the same energy and ethics. She will be very fondly remembered and I will always think of her as an exceptional woman.

So very sorry to hear of Ann's passing.
Ann and I worked together on many physiotherapy committees, especially when she was working with the Canadian Physiotherapy Association and I was involved with the NB Private Practitioners of Physiotherapy. We often collaberated in our roles to promote the physiotherapy profession in NB.
Ann was instrumental in organizing an annual get together of some of the more senior physiotherapists in Saint John which we fondly named the "Old Girls Club". This was an event we all looked forward to as we shared memories, had a laugh and caught up with one another.
Ann was always enthusiastic and upbeat and no challenge was ever to great for her.
She will be missed.
My sincere condolences to Don and all of Ann's family and friends.

My memories of Ann go back to our childhood, as Ann and I grew up in Moncton, living behind each other until 5th Grade. We were best friends and cousins. Although our lives went in different directions we always managed to stay in touch. With me in Massachusetts and Ann in St. John we made sure we saw each other a lot. Ann was the nicest, kindest, sweetest person. She would do anything and everything for anyone. We will always remember the fun trips to Martha's Vineyard, N.H.& Maine with Ann & Don and Betty & Brent Hoyt. There are no words to describe how much I will miss Ann.
