This is from Gail Szautner. I am Frances’s youngest daughter of Sophie’s oldest sister. I remember fondly our visit to St Andrews in 1997 when Sophie and Norman hosted us at Tara Manor. The hospitality was wonderful and so appreciated. I haddent seen Aunt Sophie and uncle Norman since I was a child which made it so good to connect with them. Such a great woman. Our condolences

I will miss Sophie so much !! I loved hearing her stories of her life growing up, and her life advice. She was hip, and trendy right until the end. No way was she letting that grey come out. ❤

Dear Anna, she would have loved having her hair done that day. Growing up she was the most beautiful and impeccably dressed woman I ever knew. Thanks again.

To the family
My heartfelt sympathies for the loss of your dear mom. Please know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. I knew your mom as Sharon and I worked at Shannex as a PSW for over 5 years. Your mom was a wonderful lady with a huge personality and I always enjoyed spending time with her. She was always so complimentary and we had some wonderful conversations. May she Rest In Peace...and God Bless you all!

I truly enjoyed working for this classy lady. I spent two summers as a server at Tara Manor. We had to give excellent service. Long black skirts, crisp white shirts. I loved how the music blared as we prepped the dining room for evening service. Her sense of humour was great. She was so elegant. One hot evening after a full house had been served and all the guests had retired, she invited me to jump in the pool for a swim, and since I had no bathing suit, she turned off the lights, and we had a great refreshing swim under the stars. Rest in peace, Mrs. Ryall.

Thank you Brigitte. Those summer days running the dining room, packed with guests, piano playing, and service to a T were some of her best years. She was in her element dressing impeccably and running a tight operation. The family remembers your time at Tara with great fondness. And a lights out swim on a summer night would have been right up her alley!

Sophie, was a remarkable lady with such a great spirit that I will never forget.
Working as the restorative lpn at Embassy hall i remember Sophie never refused a chance to exercise or walk. She was always ready to push herself forward.Giving up was not an option.
I will never forget her spirit, humor, and the conversations we had about a variety of topics from food to exercise to world affairs.

Thank you Ian. The day she passed we are told she went to the walking bar in the hallway and was insisting she wanted to do some squats! She was such a character. Thanks for all your care of her.
