It is with sadness that our family, the Brown family, formerly of 110 Doncaster Drive learnt about the passing of our friend and “good neighbour” Stan Amirault.
I will always remember him as a kind and good man from the first time I met him. That day, he helped me build a huge fire to burn all the old logs and brush in the lot between our two homes. (It burnt for 24 hours)
He was always happy just to share life with everyone. He helped our son after he was in a car accident and the whole family was away. A neighbour you could always count on.
His children would mind our children so that we could get a break knowing with confidence that Evelyn was there too if a problem ever arose.
He lived a good life, may he rest in the peace that he deserves.

Jack and I have many fond memories of fun adventures with Stan, Evelyn and friends as we celebrated Birthdays and Life together. We had so many laughs and many times Stan would entertain us with his one line zingers!
Our little gang will never be the same without "Stan de Man" as his absence will be sorely felt.
Our deepest condolences to you Evelyn, Paul, Cathy and family.
Stan was a remarkable, salt of the earth man. I hesitate to post this picture of Stan in the hospital because it was a very minuscule aspect of his vibrant life but I have a beautiful memory of one of the last things he said to me there.
After we had had a prayer together and I got up to leave he said,
" I try to be kind to all the nurses".
To the very end, bedridden Stan was still giving....doing his part to make his part of the world a better place.
May we all take a page from his book.

Want to share a beautiful message I received about my Dad:
“Cathy - My condolences to you and the family on the passing of your Dad. I remember Stan very well, coaching me in baseball and more importantly, in life. As a coach, he was in it for the kids, which is hard to find. My Mom and Dad had a lot of respect for Stan, and he was a great guy for the town of Dalhousie. Stan was one of those guys that made Dalhousie great in its day. He had a real positive impact on me and a lot of kids. Give my best to your Mom and Paul.”

Goodbye Stanley, the true gentleman of Doncaster Drive. What a guy. We will always remember his quick wit and his endless Banking stories and his childhood tales of growing up in Pubnico. He always seemed to appear from nowhere when a trip to the community mailbox was needed as his house was right across the street and you knew you were in for quite a chat. Our children remember his kindness when they needed a ride to school after they had missed the bus even though he would tease them endlessly! And the dinner parties......oh what fun and happy times we had. We shall miss him terribly.

If Tears Could Build A Stairway
If tears could build a stairway,
and memories a lane.
I would walk right up to Heaven
and bring you back again.
No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say "Goodbye".
You were gone before I knew it,
and only God knows why.
My heart still aches with sadness,
and secret tears still flow.
What it meant to love you -
No one can ever know.
But now I know you want me
to mourn for you no more;
To remember all the happy times
life still has much in store.
Since you'll never be forgotten,
I pledge to you today~
A hollowed place within my heart
is where you'll always stay.
Our deepest sympathy Evelyn, Paul and family, Cathy and Family.
All our love Auntie Jenny and Debbie
