Obituary of Robbie Hoy

It is with heartfelt sorrow, that the family of Robbie Hoy, announce his passing on Tuesday, March 9, 2021.

Born in Saint John, NB on March 1, 1959, he was a son of the late Erwin and Leola (LaRocque) Hoy.

Robbie will be remembered for his vivacious spirit. He enjoyed spending time outdoors. Robbie was most happiest in the woods, sharing his love of fishing and hunting with his friends and family. When he was not enjoying the outdoors, he would often be found in working on vehicles or listening to his favourite music. In his younger years, he loved going to concerts and recently was sharing his many memories of rock shows with his son. Robbie enjoyed traveling and had a sense of adventure that will live on through his family.

Robert is survived by Paulette Hoy; his children; Matthew Hoy of Quispamsis, and Sarah Hoy of Edmonton, AB; siblings: Christa Peiser (Henry), Claudette Kelter (Jim), Stephen Mahler (Elaine), David Mahler, Lanie Hoy and Joe Hoy (Debbie); as well as several nieces, nephews and friends. Robbie was predeceased by his parents.

Arrangements are under the care of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis (849-2119). A private celebration of Robbie’s life will be held from the funeral home chapel. Interment will take place at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Alzheimer Society of NB, or the Canadian Cancer Society.
