Obituary of Donna Carol Cormier

It is with great sadness that the family of Donna Carol Cormier (nee Marr) wish to announce her passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital … Palliative Care Unit, on Thursday, July 6th, 2006, at the age of 64. Donna was born in Saint John, NB, on July 28th, 1941, the daughter of the late Otis and Dorothy (Jacques) Marr. Donna was a former employee of NBLC, manager of Dorlene’s in Lancaster Mall, manager of Pennington’s in Brunswick Square and also former owner/operator of Once More Boutique. She enjoyed her many friends at Pirate’s Cove Campground; as well as, at her winter home in Florida. She enjoyed life to the fullest, always trying new things with the encouragement of her best friend, her husband. Her family was her top priority, she enjoyed each and every moment with her grandchildren and step-grandchildren who gave her great joy: they were always number one. She is survived by her husband, Richard; sons, Tim Chaisson (Mary), Jack Chaisson and daughter, Kimberley Chaisson (Scott); step-children, Jennifer Cormier, Marc Cormier (Carrie) and Ricky Cormier; grandchildren, Tammy, Tonia, Riley, Max, Cole and Maren; step-grandchildren, Brandon, Jordan, Kenny, Kyle, Delina and Kayla. Also surviving are sister, Joyce Defazio (Gerald) of Hampton, NB and brother, Bobby Marr (Betty) of Lepreau, NB; as well as, several nieces, nephews and many very special friends. Donna was predeceased by her parents; her nephew, Tony and step-daughter, Sophie. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be held Monday night at 8:00 p.m., from the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 11th, 2006 at 10:00 a.m., from St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Quispamsis, NB. Cremation will follow. Donations would be appreciated to Hospice Saint John or the Nauwigewauk Education Foundation.
