Obituary of John W. Coffey

After a brief illness, John W. Coffey, 87, Renforth, passed away at Kitchener on February 01, 2007. Beloved husband of Peggy for 64 years. Father of Susan (David) of Fredericton, Mark (Audrey) of Kitchener, Bill of Brantford, and Mike (Arnella) of Quispamsis. PawPaw to Meg, Robb, Kevin, Sam, Jeff, Jenny, Tara, and Christina and several nieces and nephews, John was born in Saint John. He was a World War ll veteran, a long time Lions member, Oromocto Postmaster (retired in 1978), R.C. Legion Branch # 58 member, one of the Byng Boys and a member of ‘Our Lady of Perpetual Help’. John is predeceased by brother, Harold, sisters, Marguerite Sheehan and Gwendolyn Coffey. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (849-2119) with visitation Tuesday, 7-9 pm, Wednesday, 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, Rothesay on Thursday at 2:00pm. Interment in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Romero House, Salvation Army or Canadian Cancer Society. A Legion Tribute will be held Wednesday, 7pm at the funeral home. www.kennebecasisfh.com
