Obituary of Angus Arthur Sleep

The death of Angus A. Sleep of the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre, Hampton, NB, husband of the late Eleanor Jean (Petley) Sleep, occurred on Wednesday, September 26th, 2007, at his residence. Born in Coles Island, NB, he was the son of the late Corey and Emma (Keirstead) Sleep. Angus was a Veteran of WWII, and formerly worked for the Government of Canada, Ministry of Transport. Angus is survived by three sons, Bill (Brenda) of Fort McMurray, AB, Daniel (Carol) of Quispamsis and Rodney (Cindy) of Fort McMurray, AB; three sisters, Violet Wilson of Saint John, Lena Greenwood of Waterborough, NB and Vera Blackwell (Bill) of Quispamsis; three brothers, Harold of Cumberland Bay, NB, Gerald (Winnifred) of Hamilton, ON and Leon of Coles Island, NB; sister-in-law, Doris Sleep of Quispamsis; six grandchildren, Aaron Sleep (Shona Lewis), Michael Sleep (Derri), MaryAnn Cross (David), Collin Sleep (Maria), Patrick and Morgan; seven great-grandchildren, Paige, Jadon, Mitchell, Julia, Evan, Ellie, and Sophia; several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife, Jean (2002) and both parents, Angus was predeceased by three brothers, Ralph, Alvin and Cecil. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Thursday from 7-9 and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 29th, 2007, from Rothesay Baptist Church, 30 Vincent Road, Quispamsis, NB, at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Coles Island Baptist Cemetery.
