Obituary of Anne P. Brown
BROWN, ANNE P. - Unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Wednesday, May 7th, 2008; Anne Pauline Brown of Champlain Heights, Saint John, NB. Born In Saint John, she was brought up in Rothesay and was the daughter of the late Grant & Lillian (Kierstead) Brown. When Anne was 16 years old she started part time with NBTel and worked into fulltime with Aliant until her retirement at the age of 55. She was a current member of the Aliant Pioneers. She also had done some volunteer work with the Community Autism Centre (CACI). She was an avid gardner. In recent years Anne worked with Clientlogic. Anne took great joy in the love and care for her cats and had a great passion for genealogy in the quest for searching out the family tree. She is survived by her sister Alice E. Jones (Doug) of Quispamsis , brother Charlie M. (Barb) of Upper Golden Grove, NB, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. By Anne's request there will be no visitation at the funeral home; however, friends are welcomed to attend the funeral service to be held on Saturday, May 10th, 2008 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (506 – 849 2119). The interment will follow in St. Martins Community Cemetery. A reception will take place immediately following at the home of Alice Jones at 7 Kensington Avenue, Quispamsis. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Community Autism Centre 55 Westmorland Road or NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
