Obituary of William Lee Beach
The death of Lee Beach of Rothesay, NB, occurred August 18th, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Truro, NS, he was the son of Connie (Bailey) Beach, Rothesay, NB, and the late Robin Beach. Lee was a professional radio broadcaster for 34 years, a member of the Rothesay Legion and was very passionate about his involvement with Crime Stoppers. Lee enabled countless charities, and not for profit entities, to raise funds as a volunteer and/or master of ceremonies. Besides his mother, Connie, Lee is survived by aunts, Eleanor Minue and Mavis Bailey, both of Fredericton, NB, and several cousins. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (506) 849-2119, where visitation will be held Thursday from 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be held from Kennebecasis Chapel on Friday at 2:00 pm. A reception will follow the service, at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery, Saint John, NB, Saturday at 10:00 am. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to a charity of one’s choice.
