Obituary of Wesley Andrew Smith

The death of Wesley Smith of Saint John, NB, husband of Deanna (Weston) Smith, occurred Wednesday, October 15th, 2008, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Bains Corner, NB, he was the son of Beatrice (Christopher) Smith, Saint John, NB, and the late Clive Smith. Wesley was employed at the Saint John Dry Dock for 28 years and most recently was an employee of Walkers Security. He was a loyal NASCAR, Montreal Canadians and Toronto Blue Jays fan. Wesley lived the early years of his life in St. Martins and resided in Saint John all his married life. He will be remembered as a loving husband, son, father, grandfather and friend. Besides his wife, Deanna, and mother, Beatrice, Wesley is also survived by two sons, Scott Smith (Christine Poirier), Willow Grove, NB, and Michael Smith, Saint John, NB; as well as one grandson, Andreas Pedersen. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held from Kennebecasis Baptist Church, Hampton Road, Quispamsis, on Monday, October 20th, 2008, at 1:00 PM. A reception will follow, in the church hall. Interment will take place in Brown’s Cemetery, Bains Corner, NB.
