Obituary of John Henry Agnew
The death of John Henry Agnew of Quispamsis, NB, husband of Helen (Donaldson) Agnew, occurred Sunday, November 2nd, 2008, at the Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing. Born in River Hebert, NS, he was the son of the late George and Eva (Scopie) Agnew. He was employed as a Nursing Orderly with the DVA for 25 years. Survived by three sons, Wayne (Barb) of Quispamsis, Brian (Bev) of Saint John and Tom (Bonnie) of Quispamsis; one daughter, Pat Watson (Charles) of Quispamsis; three brothers, Ralph (Barb) of Sussex, Doug (Bev) of the State of Washington, U.S.A. and Bill of Amherst, NS; two sisters, Isabel Mills of Fredericton and Barb Jones of Saint John; six grandchildren, Heather Agnew, Tracey Andrews (Mick), Bob Agnew, April Kernighan (Mark), Colin Agnew (Mary) and Neil Agnew; six great-grandchildren, Sarah, Dylan, Alyssa, Alea, Sky and Marcus; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Leonard. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Members of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch # 58 will hold a Tribute to a Veteran service on Tuesday at 7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held from Kennebecasis Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, November 5th, 2008, at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow, at the funeral home. Interment will take place in Rothesay Baptist Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff at Ridgewood Veteran’s Wing for their wonderful care provided over the past month.
