Obituary of Sheila Lynn Hook

The death of Sheila Hook of Quispamsis, NB, occurred Tuesday, December, 23rd, 2008, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a short battle with kidney cancer. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of Richard and Carol (Bradbin) Walsh. Sheila was employed as a medical secretary. She was a loyal employee of Dr. Susan Gray for the past seven and a half years. In past years, Sheila was a volunteer with the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada. Recently, Sheila and her dear son, Aiden, were able to share some special moments together as they visited with Santa. Besides her husband, Ian, and parents Richard and Carol, Sheila is also survived by her loving son, Aiden William Joseph Hook, at home; maternal grandmother, Verna Bradbin and paternal grandmother, Mary Walsh, both of Saint John, NB; in-laws, Helena and Stuart Hook, Quispamsis, NB; special sisters and brothers-in-law; several aunts, uncles, cousins and many special friends. Sheila was predeceased by grandfathers, William Bradbin and Joseph Walsh, as well as, grandparents, James and Eileen Breen and Harold and Gladys Hook. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Vigil Prayers will be held Friday at 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 171 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, on Saturday, December 27th, 2008, at 10:00 AM. A reception will follow, in the church hall. Following cremation, interment will take place in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Rothesay, NB, on Tuesday, December 30th, 2008, at 10 AM.
