Obituary of Robert Lee Sherwood
The death of Bob Sherwood, husband of the late Marjorie (Craft) Sherwood, occurred on Friday, January 16th, 2009, at his residence, the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre, Hampton, NB. Born in Rothesay, NB, he was the son of the late Charles Lee and Helen (Carpenter) Sherwood. Bob is survived by two sons, Fen (Ruth) of Quispamsis and Ron (Linda) of Baxters Corner; one daughter, Barb Woods (Bill) of Nauwigewauk; two brothers, Hazen (Dorothy) of Rothesay and Lloyd of Quispamsis; seven grandchildren, Deborah Hampton (David), Brian Sherwood (Susan), Bob Woods, Brenda Hogan (Peter), Cathy Lawlor (Dave), Karen Armstrong (Chris) and Peter Sherwood (Lisa); thirteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by an infant granddaughter, Susan. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119. By request, there will be no public visitation or service. A family service will be held in the funeral home chapel, officiated by Rev. Keith Lyons. Soloist, Gordon Brown will be singing “Amazing Grace” and “Just As I Am”, accompanied by organist, Murray Driscoll. The eulogy will be delivered by daughter-in-law, Linda Sherwood. Burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery, at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
