Obituary of Jessie Alfreda Phillips
The death of Alfreda Phillips of Quispamsis, NB, wife of the late George Frederick Phillips, occurred on Tuesday, February 17th, 2009, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in West Branch, Kent County on September 30th, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Jameszeene (MacMurray) Irving. Alfreda was a member of Quispamsis United Church, a former member of Kennebecasis Seniors and Past President of Quispamsis Seniors. Alfreda is survived by one daughter, Mary MacDonald (Terry) of Elkford, BC; three sons, Alfred (Bernadette) of East St. Paul, Manitoba, David (Margaret) of Kingston, NB and Richard (Margaret) of Quispamsis; one sister, Agnes “Nessie” Prosser of Calgary; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six sisters, Viola, Bessie, Clara, Charlotte, Janet and Edith. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 21st, 2009, at 11:00 AM, from the chapel at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home. Burial will take place in All Saints Anglican Cemetery, Clifton Royal, in the spring. For those who wish, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
