Obituary of Evan Fraser Smith
The death of Evan Smith of Long Reach, NB, occurred, unexpectedly, as a result of a snowmobile accident, on Saturday, February 28th, 2009, in Hampton, NB, at the age of 23. Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of Fraser and Noeline (Harris) Smith. Evan was an avid outdoorsman, spending much time fishing, snowmobiling, 4-wheeling and waterskiing. He cherished every moment spent with family and friends and was always known for being a true and dedicated friend. Evan was always well thought of by all who knew him. Besides his parents, Evan is also survived by two sisters, Shannon Smith-Eckman (Brendon) of Queensland, Australia and Leah Smith (Shane Tremblay) of Long Reach; girlfriend, Jena Olive of Rothesay; maternal grandmother, Lena Harris; paternal grandmother, Helen Smith; nephew, Owen; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held on Friday, March 6th, 2009, at 11:00 AM, from Trinity Anglican Church, Kingston, NB. Burial will take place in St. James Anglican Cemetery, Long Reach, in the spring.
