Obituary of D. Jean Geldart
The death of Jean Geldart of Rothesay, NB, wife of Gordon Geldart, occurred Monday, March 16th, 2009, at her residence. Born in Saint John, NB, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Agnes (Ryan) Parlee. Jean was devoted to her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Besides her husband, Gordon, Jean is also survived by one daughter, Tina Henderson (Patrick) and one son, Joseph Geldart, both of Rothesay; three sisters, Nancy Denby, BC, Nora Bowes and Terry Munn (Mercer), both of NB; one brother, Charles Parlee (Gerry) of BC; two much loved grandchildren, Rosaleigh Geldart and Parker Henderson; sister-in-law, Brenda Moore (Weldon) and brothers-in-law, Norval Yorston and John Geldart (Mary); special godparents, Gerald and Marguerite Arseneault; loved godson, Tom Bowes and treasured niece, Judi Parlee; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. As well as, her parents, Jean was also predeceased by one sister, Mary Goldschmidt and one brother, Frank Parlee; mother-in-law, Odessa Geldart; brother-in-law, Jim Bowes and nephew, Andrew Munn. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Vigil Prayers will be held Thursday at 8:00 PM, at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 31 Gondola Point Road, Rothesay, on Friday, March 20th, 2009, at 2:00 PM. A reception will follow the Mass, at the church hall. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of NB or to the Saint John SPCA.
