Obituary of Marcel Joseph Hachey

The death of Marcel Hachey of Rocmaura Nursing Home, formerly of Quispamsis, NB, husband of the late Francoise (Vautour) Hachey, occurred Sunday, July 19th, 2009, at his residence. Born in Misque Island, NB, on July 18th, 1912, he was the son of the late Richard and Helen (Basque) Hachey. Marcel was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Marcel is survived by two daughters, Viola Hachey of Quispamsis and Geraldine Chiasson of Moncton; three sons, Tony (Isabella) of Calgary, AB, Larry (Bernise) of Moncton and Ivan (Betty) of Rothesay; nineteen grandchildren; forty-four great-grandchildren; fourteen great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one daughter, Leona Cullum; six sisters and two brothers. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119 with visitation on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Vigil Prayers will be held Wednesday evening at 8:00 PM, from the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 23rd, 2009, at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 171 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, at 10:00 AM. A reception will be held in the church hall immediately following the Mass. Burial will take place in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Cemetery, Rothesay.
