Obituary of Ruth Margaret Maude Dollar

The death of Ruth Dollar of Quispamsis, NB, wife of Andrew Dollar, occurred Sunday, October 18th, 2009, at the Kings Way Care Centre. Born in O’Leary, PEI, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Blanche (Acorn) Yeo. Ruth was a loyal member of the Kennebecasis Valley Seniors. She enjoyed bowling, a good game of cards, fishing, bingo, traveling and baking. However, her true passion in life was spending time with her family. Besides her husband, Andrew, Ruth is also survived by two sons, Wayne Dollar (Paula) of Hampton and Charles Dollar (Pat) of Quispamsis; one sister, Ruby Smith of WA; four much loved grandchildren; six precious great-grandchildren; many special extended grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as, several nieces and nephews. Ruth was predeceased by one sister, Marion and three brothers, Lorne, Lloyd and Sherman. Resting at Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, with visitation Tuesday from 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held from Kennebecasis Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, October 21st, 2009, at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens, Saint John. Ruth’s family would like to express their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff of Kings Way Care Centre for their love, compassion and excellent care they provided.
