Obituary of Henry Eric Moores
The death of Harry Moores of Rocmaura Nursing Home, Saint John, NB, formerly of Rothesay, NB, husband of Lucilla “Lou” (Dickie) Moores, occurred Saturday, January 9th, 2010, at his residence. Born in Robinsonville, NB, he was the son of the late Henry and Eliza (Murray) Moores. Harry enjoyed carpentry and loved the outdoors. He had many fond memories of his time spent fishing, hunting and camping with family and friends. Harry loved to sing and enjoyed music. Most of all, Harry loved his family, especially his precious grandsons who will always remember their grandfather as awesome, playful and loving. Harry will be missed dearly by his family and will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend. Besides his wife, Lou, Harry is also survived by three daughters, Marilyn Isenor (Kurt) of Rothesay, Penny Saulnier (Walter Myalls) and Polly Moores both of Halifax; daughter-in-law, Vivian Moores of Riverport, Nova Scotia; five grandchildren, Nathan, Bryce, Drew, Jon Daniel and Erik; two sisters, Ethel McDavid of Campbellton and Wanda Stevenson of Hamilton, Ontario; two brothers, Boyde Moores of Robinsonville and David Moores (Shirley) of Ottawa, Ontario. As well as his parents, Harry was also predeceased by his son, Terrence Moores, one son-in-law, Nelson Saulnier and six brothers, Jim, Nelson, Dick, Murdock, Alden and Louis. At the family’s request, no public visitation will be held. A memorial service will be held in New Mills, NB, at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Select Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119.
