Obituary of Mary Jean Wood

WOOD, Mary Jean (Clark) peacefully on Tuesday, April 6th, 2010, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, New Brunswick. Born in Montreal, Quebec, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Jean (MacWhirter) Clark of Ste. Agathe des Monts, Quebec. Beloved wife of Robert Leigh Wood of Rothesay, New Brunswick. Mary will be sadly missed by her sisters, Joan Clark and Ann Hodgson (Brian); nephews, Clark Hodgson, Matthew Wood and Michael Wood; nieces, Jill Hodgson (Scott Jesty) and Rebekah Conlon (Wood). Fondly remembered by her step-son, Rick Wood (Michelle) and step-grandchildren, Connor and Olivia of St. Lazare, Quebec; step-daughter, Kara Elizabeth Wood and step-granddaughter Anna of Winnipeg, Manitoba; her godson, Cory and his brothers, Christopher and Craig Bembridge. Mary worked on Parliament Hill in Ottawa for many years before moving to Rothesay. Her family wishes to express their deep appreciation to all her caring friends in Rothesay and Ottawa for their invaluable friendship and support. Special thanks to the Palliative Care Unit at the Saint John Regional Hospital. By request there will be no visitation. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, April 10th, 2010, at 2:00 PM from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Rothesay. Interment will be at a later date in Ste. Agathe des Monts. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Clark Memorial Cemetery, 12 Prefontaine Street, Ste. Agathe des Monts, Quebec, J8C 1C3.
