Obituary of Anne Marie Gustavsen
With family at her side, Anne Marie (Wedge) Gustavsen, wife of the late Mogens “Gus” Gustavsen, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2010, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on February 3, 1924, in Saint John, she was the only child of Paul and Matilda (Matthews) Wedge. Anne loved animals, being a member of the SPCA for fifty years, and also a member of IFAW. She was an avid bowler, and enjoyed spending time bowling with friends at the KV Bowling Lanes. Anne had a keen mind for details, all things were in order; she did crossword puzzles every day and liked working with figures. Anne was predeceased by her husband and parents. She is survived by her uncle, Charles (Dick) Matthews, sisters-in-law, Betty Lordly of Halifax, NS, and Margaret Adams of Miramichi, NB; several cousins and their families; and also her beloved cat, Shadoe. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 24, 2010 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119, where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow the service. Interment will take place in Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery, Saint John.
