Obituary of William Wilson
The death of Vernon Wilson of Kingston, NB, husband of Rita (Irvine) Wilson, occurred Tuesday, November 30th, 2010, at his home. Born on September 20th, 1940 in Coles Island, NB, he was the son of the late William “Bill” and Florence (Megarity) Wilson. Prior to his retirement, Vernon was employed as a teacher for 31 years at Macdonald Consolidated School, Kingston. He loved children and devoted his teaching career to helping them. Once retired, Vernon traveled to China, where he taught English and had many wonderful adventures. Vernon enjoyed his time working with the Sussex Cadet Corp. and volunteering with Scouts. He was an avid reader. Vernon’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Caroline Jennings of the Heart Function Clinic for her care and support. Besides his loving wife, Rita, Vernon is also survived by his two sons, Kelvin Wilson of Alberta and Sean Wilson (Christina) of Ontario; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister, Anna Stones. A celebration of Vernon’s life will be held at his home, 202 Worden Road, Kingston, on Saturday, December 4th, 2010, from 2-9 PM. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119.
