Obituary of Donald Edward Briggs

The death of Donnie Briggs of Quispamsis, occurred Wednesday, December 22nd, 2010, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, at the age of 63. Born in Aroostook, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Ethel (Walker) Briggs. Prior to his retirement, Donnie was employed as an Electronics Technician with Nortel. He loved the outdoors and had many fond memories of his time spent fishing and golfing with family and friends. Donnie enjoyed playing pool and was a wonderful cook. He will always be remembered as an easygoing and kind man who was truly a gentle soul. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. Donnie is survived by his two sons, Gerry of Ottawa and Andy of Saint John; four sisters, Dorothy Delaney of Saint John, Deborah Boyle (Joseph) and Darlene Briggs, both of Alberta and Diane McCue (John) of New Maryland; three brothers, David (Sandra) of Perth-Andover, Dana (Raymonde) of Ontario and Daryl (Nancy) of Quispamsis; grandchildren, Zacheriah, Elexis and Alyviah; best friends, Andrea and Rob Duffield of Quispamsis and Tyson Weston of Saint John. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 28th, 2010, at 2:00 PM, from the chapel of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home. A reception will follow the funeral service, at the funeral home.
