Obituary of William "Bill" McClary
The death of William McClary of Quispamsis, husband of Janet (Bennett) McClary occurred on Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at the Saint John Regional Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 3, 1952, he was the son of the late Fairley “Mac” and Margaret (Hanlon) McClary. Willie worked as an auto body painter, restoring antique cars. Willie loved to drive his Harley and A.T.V. and had many, many memorable trips with family and friends. Everywhere Willie went he was known for his whistle, his smile and his guitar. Besides his wife, Janet, he is survived by three daughters, Patti (Tony Woods), Angie (Tom Daly), and Theresa; two step-daughters, Brandy (Jimmy Bannister) and Amanda, all of Saint John; one brother Rick (Shelly), Rothesay; two sisters, Nancy Rioux (Pierre), Quispamsis and Tammy Morrison (Gary), Rothesay; grandfather to 16 grandchildren; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Friday, April 29, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011, at 10:00 AM, from the chapel of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home. A time of fellowship will take place immediately following the service in the reception facility at the funeral home. The family would appreciate donations to be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of the donor’s choice.
