Obituary of Donald Murray Parlee
The death of Donnie Parlee of Quispamsis, husband of Jessica (Melanson) Parlee, occurred on Tuesday, January 17th, 2012, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Donnie was employed as a custodian with School District 6. He loved making people laugh and was famous for his practical jokes. Donnie enjoyed NASCAR racing and was a huge Boston Bruins fan. He was truly a kind and gentle man who was happiest when spending time with those he loved. Donnie especially adored all moments spent with his precious little pumpkin, Aliyah. He will always be fondly remembered as a devoted family man and loyal friend. Besides his loving wife, Jessica, Donnie is also survived by his sons, Anthony and Dylan Melanson; father, Steven Dominey (Laura Simpson); sister, Pam Jackson (Chris); brothers, Steve Dominey (Jennifer), Gordon McKillop (Annie) and Kenny McKillop; precious granddaughter “little pumpkin,” Aliyah Melanson; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. Donnie was predeceased by his parents, Donald and Shirley Parlee. Resting at Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held from the chapel of Kennebecasis Funeral Home on Friday, January 20th, 2012, at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place in Garnett Settlement Cemetery, at a later date.
