Obituary of Rosamonde Lillian Nice
The death of Rose Nice of the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre, Hampton, wife of the late LeBaron Nice, occurred Sunday, January 29th, 2012, at her home. Born in Saint John on June 27th, 1924, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian (Saunders) Myles. Prior to her retirement, Rose was employed in the telecommunications industry. She took great pride in caring for her family and treasured all the times they spent together. Rose enjoyed playing the organ, swimming, knitting socks for her boys and flower gardening. Rose is survived by two sons, Barry (Carol Ann) and David G. (Lynda) both of Quispamsis; five grandchildren, Michele McGuire (Peter), Kirk Nice (Elizabeth), Anita Webster (Duncan), Lindsey Nice and Robbin Sutton (Matthew); eight great-grandchildren, Mollie, Mary Kate, Charlotte, Kathryn, Noah, Joseph, Maria and Blake; sister-in-law, Doris Nice; in-laws, Norman and Maude Nice and Burton and Gloria Nice; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by sisters, Jean Hamilton, Jessie Suttie and Marjorie Joyce and brother, Donald Myles. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, NB, (506) 849-2119 with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 1st, 2012 from Quispamsis United Church, 372 Hampton Road, Quispamsis, at 11:00 AM. A reception will follow the service, at the church hall. Interment will take place in Rothesay Baptist Cemetery, at a later date. For those who wish, donations may be made to Foundation Glycosylation c/o the SJRH Foundation, Quispamsis United Church, Arthritis Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
