Obituary of Alton Bryanton
The death of Al Bryanton of Quispamsis occurred on Thursday, March 29th, 2012, in the loving care of Bobby’s Hospice. Born in Malpeque, PEI on October 5th, 1948, he was the son of the late Melville and Hilda (Morrison) Bryenton. Al was employed as a bank manager in Hampton and recently celebrated his 40th anniversary with Scotiabank. He loved the beauty of the outdoors and enjoyed working on the farm. Al also enjoyed working with horses. He was skilled at playing the piano and enjoyed listening to music. Some of Al’s fondest memories were of his vacations to Cuba. He loved kayaking, snowshoeing and cross-country skiing. Most of all, Al adored his family and will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Loving husband of Jackie (Rickard) Bryanton. Father of David (Kaia) of Ontario and Matthew (Marisa) of Willow Grove. Grandfather of precious granddaughters, Mackenzie and Isla. Brother of Irma Adams, Althiea Cousins (Sud), Elaine Cousins (William), Verna Clark, Vivian Burns (Morris), Lois Caseley (Gerald), Gloria Ellis, Robert (Joyce), Clifford, Irene Gill (Doug), Bruce (Bruce Coyle) and Carolyn Lanigan (Jim). Brother-in-law to Janet and Janette Bryanton and Kathy Watt and Chris Rickard, both of Fredericton. Al was predeceased by brothers, Wendell, Winston, Charles and Erwin; as well as brothers-in-law, Delmar Adams, James Clark and Paul Ellis. As per the family’s request, no visitation will be held. A celebration of Al's life will be held at the chapel of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119, on Monday, April 2nd, 2012, at 2:00 PM. A reception will immediately follow the service, at the funeral home. Interment will take place in People’s Cemetery Malpeque, PEI, at a later date.
