Obituary of John Thompson

Jack Thompson of Rothesay, husband of the late Rosemary (Evanoff) Thompson, passed away Saturday, May 5th, 2012. Born on January 4th, 1940, he was the son of the late William “Bill” and Christina J. (Damery) Thompson. Jack was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 58 in both Rothesay and Hamilton, Ontario. Jack is survived by his son, Aaron (Marlene); loving GIGI to grandchildren, Vanessa, Larissa and Kyle; also survived by sisters, Judith Bass Nickerson, Sally Ritchie (Murray), Jane, and Martha; aunt, Elizabeth “Bette” Paterson; sisters-in-law, Jeannine Thompson, Sylvia Horback (Oscar); many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Wayne “Bucky”; in-laws, George and Mary Evanoff; as well as brothers-in-law, Gordie Bass, Clarence Nickerson, John and Michael Evanoff. As per Jack’s request, no visitation or funeral service will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119.
