Obituary of David Andrew McColgan

It is with great sadness that the family of David McColgan of the Kingston Peninsula, beloved husband of Marguerite (Stuart) McColgan, announce his passing on Wednesday, May 16th, 2012, which occurred at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Saint John. Born in Saint John on July 13th, 1942, he was the son of the late Gordon and Helen (Brown) McColgan. David was employed as a taxi driver for several years. Early in his career, David worked for ABC Taxi and retired a loyal employee of Coastal Taxi. He always loved a challenging word search, a good game of cards and spending time in the garden. Besides his loving wife, Marguerite, David is also survived by his step-son, John Graves (Nanci Jane) of Saint John; his daughter, Monica Debartello of Ontario; brothers, James (Shirley) of Ontario and Robert (Cathy) of Saint John; sister, Linda Vey of Moncton; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Arrangements are entrusted to Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home, 152 Pettingill Road, Quispamsis, (506) 849-2119, with visitation on Monday, May 21st, 2012, from 7-9 PM. A funeral service will be held at the chapel of Kennebecasis Community Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012, at 11:00 AM. A reception will immediately follow the service, at the funeral home.
